Bloodvein is a river in canada that flows into lake winnipeg. As our bodies of water are filling with toxins, and water is life, this river’s name is a mirror to what we are doing to ourselves.
The poem Bloodvein is inspired by the feelings of fear and loss to give up the unsustainable lifestyle the privileged world has been living. Seeing our level of consumption of the planet as a sickness in our blood.
The change of lifestyle required to sustain our planet will be hard to do, but much less so if we journey together.
